Adoremus Night of Worship

St. Anthony of Padua Church 1050 W. 163rd St., Gardena, United States

Schedule: Praise & Worship | The Eucharist by Erick Rubalcava | Adoration & Benediction | Potluck Fellowship & Prayer Ministry

About Our Events

Adoremus Prayer Nights

Adoremus is a larger, quarterly night of Eucharistic adoration and worship that includes deepening our devotion to Mary through the Holy Rosary, teachings for families to grow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, praying for physical and inner healing, and being rooted in our identity as children of God.

Arbor Family Prayer Meetings – Monthly

Family Prayer Meetings include a potluck meal, Rosary, music, teaching related to the branches, and small group time for individuals and families to discuss questions and ideas. Our prayer meetings often include studying books and other materials, such as KAIROS: Growing Together Through Life’s Sacred Seasons by Marianne Dyogi and Roxsan De Vera and Parents of the Saints: The Hidden Heroes of Our Favorite Saints using a Family Formation Guide created by Marianne Dyogi and the book’s author, Patrick O’Hearn.

Ongoing Faith Formation for Adults and Children

Faith formation opportunities, such as Catholic book studies, deep dives into the lives of the saints, and more, are provided to families with activities tailored to both parents and children. Families can take this journey individually or within a larger group over the course of a weekly or monthly study depending on time commitment and availability.

A discussion and activity guide is available to direct each session catered to the spiritual formation of school-age children.

Majesty Series Nature Outings

The Majesty series are annual outdoor trips with activities where Arbor families can participate and foster relationships within their immediate family and with those accompanying them on the outings. There is intentional time for prayer and fellowship while growing in wonder and awe of God through His creation.

Arbor Planting Days

There is much to learn about our relationship with God and ourselves when working in a garden, doing something as simple as planting vegetables. During Arbor Planting Days, our families gather to eat and pray together, learn about the basics of gardening, and take home their own plants to nurture and grow. The goal is to create a community of Arbor Family gardeners of all ages who will share the practical lessons and spiritual benefits they gain from the very beginning of sowing seeds to the abundance of final harvest.

California Missions Family Pilgrimage

The 21 Missions, founded by St. Junipero Serra and the Franciscan missionaries, offer a beautiful opportunity for Arbor families to make an intercessory pilgrimage as they pray for the healing and restoration of families across California while learning about the rich spiritual heritage of our state. Our families arrive at each mission site not as tourists but as intercessors. Accumulating graces at these holy places, families pray for conversion and a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon California through the domestic church.

Pulsatio Family Retreat

The Pulsatio Family Retreat allows families to slow down and be present to one another as they immerse themselves in the Sacred, Immaculate, and Chaste Hearts of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. The retreat begins with Mass in the morning, followed by age-appropriate talks given for each of the demographics present. A cooperative family activity gets parents and children interacting, reconnecting, and sharing with one another. After lunch is an afternoon of games and team building exercises that promote collaboration and communication. The retreat ends with praise & worship and Eucharistic adoration with a special litany and prayer for the families.

Family Mentoring & Resource Referrals

The family mentoring process begins with an online intake questionnaire followed by an interview to determine specific needs for the family in their current season.

Arbor families have the opportunity to participate in mentoring formation through resources, such as the Franciscan at Home Ministry of Parenting Track. They may opt for in-person mentoring, where frequency will depend on membership tiers to meet bi-monthly, quarterly, or bi-annually.

Support resources are offered to strengthen areas of need within the various Arbor Branches: spiritual formation, marriage & family support, mental health, health & fitness, and financial stewardship.
